What is Leader In Training (L.I.T.) Camp??

The Leader In Training program is designed for youth who are very interested in working with children, who may be interested in working as a volunteer or camp counsellor in the future. LIT Camp will promote development of leadership through team-based activities and leadership opportunities.  To ensure success in this program, we will connect our LIT campers with a counselor mentor. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming learning environment where LIT campers can feel accepted, find their own voice, and become engaged in their community. LIT candidates will be encouraged to apply for Volunteer opportunities at AITP once they turn 14 years of age.

Leader In Training is for campers aged 13 - 14 years (born in 2011 or 2012) who are interested in volunteering or working as a camp counsellor in future years. Campers should have completed Grade 7.
